Land Data and Decision Insight Group (DIG) agree NLIS Hub contract extension

Land Data, the National Land Information Service (NLIS) regulator, has today confirmed that the existing NLIS Hub provider, Decision Insight Group (DIG) has agreed to extend the NLIS Hub contract.  The extension will run until March 2024.

The contract which runs from 2009, provides for the continued facilitation of the National Land Information Service (NLIS) Hub.

Since 2001 the NLIS Hub has processed over 25 million searches, providing conveyancing solicitors with a secure gateway to authoritative data providers in England and Wales. This includes all 314 registering Local Authorities (LAs), HMLR, the Coal Authority and water companies. NLIS is the leading electronic search ordering platform in England and Wales.

The contractual extension is an endorsement of the strong and solid collaboration between Land Data and DIG, the NLIS Hub operator.

Jan Boothroyd, Land Data Chief Executive commented:

“We have been fortunate that throughout the Coronavirus pandemic the NLIS Hub has been able to operate a normal service, which has ensured the NLIS licensed channels and their conveyancing clients have benefitted from an uninterrupted property search service.   The combination of a robust electronic NLIS business model with agile and effective teams at both DIG and Land Data have made this possible and I am delighted that this will continue.”

Nick Dyoss the NLIS Hub Director said:

“It is great news that we have renewed our NLIS Hub contract out to 2024. This gives everyone who already uses NLIS and those who will use us in the future, huge confidence in our stability over the long term. We are most certainly open for more new business so come and talk to us”
