Property giant builds Executive Team

A number of internal promotions have been announced by Countrywide in a move to maximise the potential of the current leadership team.

Paul Chapman, the existing Professional Services Director, has been promoted to Managing Director of the Business to Business Division. With over two decades of experience in the property sector, Paul joined the Countrywide Group in December 2011. He will be responsible for the group’s conveyancing within the new role, as well as surveying, asset management and land and new homes businesses.

His new position will also extend to working within the Executive Team, which oversees the groups’ strategic path and is largely responsible for its direction.

Paul Chapman’s movement within the business will also enable Paul Creffield to focus on Countrywide’s commercial side.

Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Grant Dempster and Paul Bridge have also been promoted to the Executive Team. Whilst Grant will be taking on the legal responsibility for the group, Bridge will be taking on the portfolio for IT, procurement as well as programme management.

Due to be implemented at the start of next month, Alison Platt commented on the changes to internal changes to the group. The CEO of Countrywide stated:

“I’m delighted to welcome Paul, Grant and Paul to the Executive Team. Each of them has had a strong hand in improving our business performance and capability in their respective areas, so it’s only right that we make the most of their expertise at group strategic level.

“Countrywide has a strong and diverse portfolio and it’s important that our most senior leadership team reflects this broad remit. These appointments emphasise our strong commitment to delivering growth and improved operational performance across the group as we continue to build a stronger business for the future.”
