This month, Landmark Information was pleased to sponsor a special afternoon tea and champagne reception event, which was hosted by the Birmingham, Worcestershire and Warwickshire Law Society groups at the House of Commons. The event brought together over 100 members of the three law societies, who all travelled from the Midlands to attend the event, which was held in the splendid ‘Members Lounge’ in the House.
The event was an excellent networking opportunity, to discuss current issues affecting legal practices, in a range of disciplines, from across the Midlands. Attorney General Rt. Hon Jeremy Wright QC, MP for Kenilworth and Southam, addressed attendees on the very day the House of Lords was to vote on the first key amendment to the ‘Brexit Bill’. A number of other local MP’s including Dame Caroline Spelman, Steve McCabe, Nigel Huddleston and Khalid Mahmood were also able to join the reception.
Commenting on the event, Tony Rollason, regional manager for Landmark Information said: “The event was a wonderfully grand occasion, which everyone enjoyed. We were delighted to be able to sponsor the event, alongside Index Property Information and Chiltern Railways, which brought together members of the three regional law societies and was an opportunity to discuss current topical affairs.”
