According to consumers, high street law firms are the best place to go for conveyancing advice.
YouGov consumer research indicated that an impressive 76% of buyers and 75% of sellers opted for a traditional firm when seeking conveyancing guidance.
This is all great news for high street conveyancers, but how do consumers locate you?
- 25% of buyers and 28% of sellers use estate agent recommendations
- 22% of buyers and 26% of sellers will return to a solicitor they have used before
- 16% of buyers and 13% of sellers use friends, relatives or colleague recommendations
- 14% of buyers and 15% of sellers return to a legal services provider they have used before
When it comes to finding a home, according to a haart survey, high street estate agents remain the favoured choice for buyers, with 88% of 700 people stating that a face-to-face meeting was important.
However, this does not stop online estate agents such as Purple Bricks from being a threat to traditional agents, and as your largest source of referral, a risk to you.
So how do you avoid this risk?
Experience and qualifications are rated by 79% of buyers as being the most important qualities when choosing a conveyancer. With this in mind, you need to develop your presence in your area, becoming the authority on the home-moving process, whether on the high street or online in local searches. This means that when home buyers and sellers need the services of a conveyancer, they think of you.
