BCL Legal opens in London

This month has been an exciting time for all of us at BCL Legal as after 10 years of growing the business around the UK, we’ve now opened our first office in London. The new office is situated in the heart of the Square Mile and our initial focus is on interim/ locum and document review roles. The aim for the next 12 to 18 months is to then rapidly grow and develop a full private practice team that will place candidates at all levels and across all disciplines as well as to grow the in-house offering.

With that in mind, this issue of The Brief is dedicated to all things London and our contributors include; David Salisbury — partner at Teacher Stern — who is in the Day in the Life of hot seat, Philip Barden — partner at Devonshires — on the LIBOR scandal, Janice Wall — head of the corporate team at Wedlake Bell — on the pressures and the roles of women in corporate law, and from Dahren Naidoo, managing associate at Addleshaw Goddard, who discusses the changing legal landscape.

There’s also our usual mix of, BCL Legal News, Q&As, Movers & Shakers and Legal News Round Up. Away from the law, we’ve added some new deals to Lawyers@Lunch so do check those out too.
